How Many Pounds of Meat will my Freezer Hold? A rule of thumb is one cubic foot of freezer space for each 35-40 pounds of cut and wrapped meat. Allow slightly more space when the meat is packaged in odd shapes. We recommend a freezer at least 5 cubic feet to allow ample room for a 1/2 beef.
About our cattle:Our grass fed Angus beef is lean and delicious--perfect for all your favorite recipes. Did you know that grass fed beef is leaner and has a higher pertentage of healthy Omega 3 fatty acids than grain fed beef? Our cattle spend their lives on pasture, eating grass and hay during winter months when grasses are less plentiful. We handle them with care to keep stress low and never add antibiotics or hormones. We believe that good feed, a healthy environment and low stress makes happy cattle and happy cattle produce the best beef! Lowline Angus are smaller & more efficient than standard Angus cattle, producing a higher meat to bone ratio than standard size cattle while consuming less feed & less wear & tear on the land.
Our philosophy is simple--eat less meat and when you do, make sure it is high quality, local and ethically produced!
